Job Description:

Active Prospects are looking for a Home Manager to lead our brand-new service in Redhill, supporting young adults with a range of needs including but not limited to learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs as well as some medical needs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure that staff are enabled to provide support that meets organisational quality standards and is safe and person centred
  • To have strong knowledge of mental health and legal frameworks including community deprivation of liberty, supervision order, probation within MAPPA
  • To ensure decision-making on behalf of the individuals within the service are within the Mental Capacity Act
  • Hold regular multi-disciplinary reviews with individuals, family, support staff, and other professionals
  • Leading the assessment process for admission
  • Leading on recruitment with accordance with organisational Recruitment and Selection policy and procedure
  • To work with HR managing grievance and disciplinary matters
  • To act as an assessor and provide coaching, guidance and leadership to employees including work-related qualifications
  • Ensure monthly staff rota reflect the needs of the individuals within the service and completed 6 weeks in advance

Requirements:

  • Level 4 Registered Home Manager
  • resilient, kind and caring
  • good communication skills
  • confident working with mental health needs (depression, anxiety)
  • strong familiarity with social media, relationships and drug or substance misuse
