Active Prospects are looking for a Home Manager to lead our brand-new service in Redhill, supporting young adults with a range of needs including but not limited to learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs as well as some medical needs.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure that staff are enabled to provide support that meets organisational quality standards and is safe and person centred
To have strong knowledge of mental health and legal frameworks including community deprivation of liberty, supervision order, probation within MAPPA
To ensure decision-making on behalf of the individuals within the service are within the Mental Capacity Act
Hold regular multi-disciplinary reviews with individuals, family, support staff, and other professionals
Leading the assessment process for admission
Leading on recruitment with accordance with organisational Recruitment and Selection policy and procedure
To work with HR managing grievance and disciplinary matters
To act as an assessor and provide coaching, guidance and leadership to employees including work-related qualifications
Ensure monthly staff rota reflect the needs of the individuals within the service and completed 6 weeks in advance
Requirements:
Level 4 Registered Home Manager
resilient, kind and caring
good communication skills
confident working with mental health needs (depression, anxiety)
strong familiarity with social media, relationships and drug or substance misuse
