An exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse Manager has arisen at Ashton View Home in Ashton in Makerfield, Wigan. Rated 9.9 on carehome.co.uk Ashton View Care Home is a 57 bed home and is a warm and welcoming care home that offers a range of care services including nursing and dementia care. Ashton View's compassionate staff provide the support residents need, fostering a comfortable and homely environment. Residents enjoy a wide range of activities tailored to their interests, promoting social engagement and a sense of community. Ashton View offers a variety of facilities including a roof garden. The home also offers a further choice of four sitting rooms and three dining areas that residents can enjoy dining or relax in. The comfortable bedrooms and communal living areas are all wheelchair-accessible, ensuring ease and convenience for everyone.

Job Responsibility

  • Managing and developing high quality services for all our residents
  • Developing and guiding the team of staff
  • Encourage and instil a culture of care and continuous improvement across the service
  • Actively working with staff, residents and their families, to help shape and develop a centre of excellence for person-centred care
  • The promotion of high standards of nursing care, following CQC and NMC guidelines, by ensuring all staff are managed appropriately and the Home runs in a smooth and efficient manner

Requirements

  • Proven management experience within the sector
  • RGN/RMN qualified with active NMC Pin
  • Experience of leadership and mentoring staff
  • An enhanced DBS certificate is required for this role
  • Self-motivated, resilient and well-organised
  • Dependable and honest
  • Able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the residents and the Home
  • Demonstrate a track record in leading, motivating, managing and developing staff
  • A clear understanding of leadership responsibilities in social care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
