Job Description:

Compass Associates are working in partnership with a growing elderly care provider to recruit a Non-Registered Home Manager for a newly developed nursing and residential service in the West of Scotland. This is a rare opportunity to take a leading role within a newly opened, specialist unit, supporting its continued development, stabilisation and long-term success.

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing day-to-day leadership across a new nursing and residential unit
  • Supporting the ongoing development and stabilisation of the service post-launch
  • Driving high standards of care, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for residents
  • Leading, developing and supporting the staff team to build a positive and accountable culture
  • Working closely with senior management to ensure strong operational and commercial performance
  • Supporting occupancy growth and building the service’s local reputation
  • Ensuring effective staffing, rota management and workforce stability
  • Contributing to continuous improvement across care delivery and service outcomes

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ management experience within elderly care settings
  • Nurse-qualified preferred, but not essential depending on experience
  • Experience within nursing and/or residential care homes
  • Exposure to commissioning, new builds or service development is highly desirable
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to support occupancy and performance
  • Confident communicator, able to build relationships with staff, families and stakeholders
  • Resilient, hands-on and comfortable operating in a developing service
