Job Description

As a Home Infusion Nurse you will provide a broad range of infusion therapies in our patients’ homes, offer one-on-one care and education, and receive continuous training on leading edge technology and clinical requirements in specialty infusion. Coverage area includes the north of Albany including Ballston Spa, Saratoga Springs, etc., and drives of 1.5-2 hours are possible. Nurses are paid for both patient time and drive time.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide a broad range of infusion therapies in patients' homes
  • Build one-on-one relationships with patients and their families
  • Provide home infusion nursing care visits and patient education in accordance with the physician’s plan of treatment
  • Collaborate with the patient, physician, pharmacist and other partners
  • Engage in continuous training on leading edge technology and clinical requirements in specialty infusion.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with current license in state of NY
  • Minimum one year nursing experience
  • Strong IV insertion skills with a minimum of one year infusion/IV experience
  • Have and maintain current CPR certification
  • Possess a valid and current driver’s license and auto insurance
  • Have experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook and Word to document and track patient care activity
  • Participate in on-call rotation as indicated by staffing and business needs
