Prior experience as a provider of pre-hospital care in an emergency setting
Valid Drivers License
Verification of an acceptable motor vehicle driving record
EMT- P - Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic
ACLS - EMS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
BLS - EMS (Basic Life Support)
Moderate word processing, database, presentation and spreadsheet skills
Basic email and internet skills
Ability to learn specific job related software applications

Job Responsibility

Responds to requests for paramedic services from area departments in a timely and safe manner
Completes documentation and records according to department policy
Ensures vehicle and equipment are ready for response at all times
Renders pre-hospital medical care at the paramedic level
Performs assigned duties in the emergency department under the supervision of the ED physicians
Acts as a team leader in dealing with emergency responses
Takes proper care of vehicle and equipment
Pursues new levels in Paramedicine technology and participates in activities which contribute to professional growth and development
Participates in community activities which improve the public's understanding of the EMS system
Completes Hospital at Home Admission Process while using In patient platform of EPIC
