Job Description:

Our client, a family owned & reputable Home Care agency, with multiple offices in Massachusetts, is seeking compassionate, competent & dependable Home Health Aides to support their continued growth. PRN, Part Time, & Full Time opportunities available immediately.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work cooperatively with the family member, the agency supervisor and any other individuals involved with the client
  • Follow instructions, be conscientious and take pride in his/her work
  • Inform the Supervisor of unusual incidents or events of a significant change in the client's condition
  • Assist clients in/out of bed
  • Ambulate clients and uses safe transfers and techniques including the use of a Hoyer lift
  • Toilet, assist clients with bed pans/ must empty all commodes
  • Medication cueing and reminders
  • Assist/perform client grooming
  • Perform activities that support the skilled therapies as instructed, and routine care of prosthetic and orthotic devices
  • Provide adequate nutrition and fluid intake
  • Perform bathing/showering/sponge bathing
  • Shampoo/hair combing
  • Oral hygiene/denture care
  • Dressing/undressing
  • Foot care
  • Perform normal household services essential to health care at home, including shopping, meal preparation, laundry and housekeeping duties
  • Maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment
  • Record ADL activities of the client and the client care provided on the HHA activity sheet
  • Report any changes in the client's condition to the primary care nurse or supervisor
  • Must attend and complete in-service education programs as required

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of an approved Commonwealth of Massachusetts CNA/Home Health Aide training program
  • Current CPR Certification preferred
  • Exhibits maturity, flexibility and ability to plan and organize activities
  • A current TB Test result presented upon hire and yearly
  • Completed 15 hours of training related to the responsibilities of a HHA and the Mass Council's curriculum
  • Must have a current, valid Massachusetts driver's license and reliable transportation with current auto/vehicle insurance
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
  • Must be competent in the skills necessary to perform the job functions

Nice to have:

Current CPR Certification preferred
