Job Description:

Join Alcedo Care Kirkby Lonsdale and surrounding areas as a Nights Care Assistant. You will play a key role in supporting our service users independence, dignity, and quality of life by providing compassionate, person-centred care and companionship. Supporting clients both within their own homes and to access the community. Joining an experienced and dedicated team of Complex Carers, you will receive comprehensive training to ensure you feel confident and competent in carrying out your role to the highest standard.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting our service users independence, dignity, and quality of life by providing compassionate, person-centred care and companionship
  • Supporting clients both within their own homes and to access the community
  • Personal care (washing, dressing, continence support)
  • Medication and meal preparation
  • Household tasks and daily routines
  • Encouraging independence and providing companionship
  • Complex Care – supporting individuals with conditions such as spinal injuries, neurological disorders, and respiratory needs
  • Children’s Support – providing personal care, emotional support, and daily assistance for children and young people with complex needs
  • Mental Health Support – offering practical and emotional support to help individuals manage routines, reduce isolation, and build confidence.

Requirements:

  • At least 18 years old
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including alternate weekends
  • Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references required
  • For Complex Care, Childrens or Mental Health duties we require at least 6 months’ hands-on UK care experience.
