Requirements

Previous experience in nursing homes, hospice care, or senior care is highly desirable
Familiarity with assisted living environments and patient care practices is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively as needed
Certification in first aid or willingness to obtain certification is preferred
Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for helping others
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required

Job Responsibility

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support
Prepare and serve nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs
Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a warm and welcoming environment
Administer basic first aid as necessary and monitor the health status of residents
Assist with heavy lifting when required, ensuring safe practices are followed
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the living spaces to promote a healthy environment
Collaborate with nursing staff to implement care plans effectively
Document care provided and report any changes in residents’ conditions promptly
