Job Description:

Join Acelero, Inc. as a Home Based Visitor, where you'll support early childhood education for families while making a positive impact on their future. Collaborate with a team to provide key developmental and educational resources to empower families. As a Home Based Visitor for a Head Start/Early Head Start program, you will be working individually with 10-12 families to support the development of the family and their children.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct home visits
  • Implement educational curricula
  • Support child development
  • Engage families in advocacy and health services
  • Use knowledge of child development principles to work with children
  • Implement a home-visiting curriculum
  • Address challenging behaviors
  • Use observations and anecdotal notes to document progress
  • Apply a family-centered philosophy
  • Conduct 46 weekly home visits per family
  • Plan and facilitate 22 group socialization activities per school year
  • Provide education and support in health, nutrition, mental health, and disabilities services
  • Conduct screenings and assessments
  • Work with families on "Family Success Road Maps"
  • Act as a liaison between families and community resources
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records
  • Participate in assigned meetings, events and training as required

Requirements:

  • Possession of a Home-Based CDA credential OR an equivalent credential (e.g., an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree with relevant Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Infant/Toddler coursework)
  • Experience and skills in assisting parents with advocacy and decision-making
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for frequent local travel
  • Physical exam and background checks are required
