Job Description:

The Four Seasons Resort Maldives is currently looking for a Holistic physician - Mental Wellbeing who shares our passion for excellence and is enthusiastic about creating memorable guest experiences. The Holistic physician - Mental Wellbeing is part of a diverse and dynamic team that provides award-winning service to our valued guests. This position reports to the Senior Director of Spa.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct psychological assessments, mental health screenings, and case histories
  • Provide individual and group counselling for stress, anxiety, sleep disorders, emotional imbalance, lifestyle-related concerns, and psychosomatic conditions
  • Apply evidence-based therapies (CBT, mindfulness-based approaches, supportive psychotherapy, etc.) adapted to wellness and preventive settings
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation, progress notes, and confidentiality standards
  • Integrate Ayurvedic psychology concepts (Manas, Sattva–Rajas–Tamas, Dinacharya, Ritucharya) into counselling plans
  • Work closely with Ayurveda physicians to co-create customised wellness and Panchakarma support programs
  • Offer lifestyle guidance aligned with Ayurvedic principles for mental balance and resilience
  • Conduct Yoga, Pranayama, Meditation, and Relaxation sessions (individual and group)
  • Guide mindfulness and breathwork practices during retreats, workshops, and special programs
  • Conduct talks, workshops, and group sessions on mental wellbeing, emotional intelligence, resilience, and conscious living
  • Support long-stay, retreat, or residency programs with structured psychological and yogic modules
  • Participate in interdisciplinary case discussions and program reviews
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and legal standards of clinical psychology practice
  • Maintain continuous professional development and stay updated on integrative mental health approaches
  • Ensure a calm, professional, and empathetic presence with guests, patients, and team members

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in clinical psychology
  • Degree in Ayurveda (BAMS)
  • Certification in Yoga Teaching (minimum 200 hours
  • Yoga Alliance or equivalent preferred)
  • Minimum 2–5 years of relevant clinical or wellness experience
  • Strong therapeutic and interpersonal skills
  • Holistic mindset with scientific and traditional knowledge integration
  • Excellent communication and group facilitation abilities
  • Emotional intelligence, empathy, and cultural sensitivity
  • Ability to adapt sessions for diverse age groups and backgrounds

Nice to have:

  • Experience in wellness resorts, hospitals, integrative clinics, or retreat settings
  • Training in mindfulness, meditation therapy, or trauma-informed care
  • Exposure to Panchakarma, lifestyle medicine, or preventive health programs
