Job Description

JRL / Midgard are looking for an experienced Hoist Operator to work on a project in Luton, LU1. This site is available to start immediately and is for up to 18 months in duration. JRL are able to offer long term / permanent work on a self-employed basis for reliable, good quality trades.

Job Responsibility

  • Hoist Operation
  • 18 months work
  • 7:30am – 5:30pm Monday to Friday with 1hr lunch break
  • 10hrs paid per day
  • CIS / UTR Payment (No Umbrella companies / fees)

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months experience as a Hoist Operator
  • MUST HAVE a Valid CPCS Card
  • PPE Required
  • Valid Work Permit / Right to Work in UK

  • Performs 100-hour, progressive, isochronal, phase, periodic, and other hourly or calendar inspections, inspects jet engines and components for cracks, corrosion, foreign object damage, burned areas, distortions, security, warping, wear, and missing segments
  • Inspects jet engine turbine blades to detect cracks, distortion, corrosion, burn-out, security, or breaks, tests engine operation, using testing equipment, such as ignition analyzer, ammeter, and jet calibration (Jetcal) tester, to locate source of malfunction
  • Work involves: replacing or repairing worn or damaged components, such as fuel controls, fuel pumps, oil pumps, and engine mounted gearboxes, and compressor bleed valves using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment
