Job Description:

Working as part of Customer Service Group within HMRC, helping to support vital purpose to collect money that pays for UK's public services and help families and individuals with targeted financial support. Supporting HMRC customers with telephone queries and playing important role in ensuring customers receive quality guidance and support. Working within fast-paced environment and working to targets, dealing with multiple complex customer queries over telephone regarding tax accounts.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide first-rate quality service through inbound telephony calls from customers regarding tax accounts
  • Undertake administrative work via HMRC Digital Mail Service or work with customers on Web Chat
  • Follow guidance, update HMRC systems and handle customer data sensitively
  • Help and support customers with enquiries over telephone
  • Seek to resolve customer queries at first point of contact where possible

Requirements:

  • Strong telephony skills and ability to communicate well with customers on telephone and via other communication channels
  • Can-do attitude and real passion for supporting people
  • Confident IT user, particularly use of MS Office packages
  • Must be able to travel to specified HMRC locations as required
  • Must be able to pass DBS check and provide proof of Right to Work in the UK
