Join Our Client as a Full-Time Temporary Operational Support Officer in Preston Are you organised, customer-focused, and ready to support the justice system? Our client, a reputable organisation within HMCTS, is hiring for a dedicated Administration Officer to join their team in Preston. This is a full-time, temporary role with a contract initially lasting three months, with potential for extension. What you'll be doing: * Preparing, facilitating, and supporting all types of hearings through comprehensive administrative tasks. * Providing clear, helpful information to users and stakeholders via face-to-face, telephone, and written communication, including those with complex needs. * Using HMCTS service scripts and knowledge articles to guide users to relevant services. * Supporting users through complaints procedures, ensuring swift responses to prevent escalation. * Identifying risks related to HMCTS buildings and informing the Senior Person on Site as needed. * Processing work in line with standard operating procedures to meet performance and service standards. * Managing case files with accurate data entry, secure information handling, and compliance with data retention policies. * Handling jury service tasks, including scheduling, deferrals, and expense processing. * Assisting with listing and scheduling to ensure judicial efficiency. * Providing judicial support such as diary management and administrative assistance. * Supporting enforcement activities, including financial assessments and report generation. * Contributing to health and safety operations, including facility checks and safety governance. What you'll bring: * Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse users. * Ability to follow procedures accurately and handle sensitive information securely. * Experience in administrative roles, ideally within a legal or public sector environment. * Competence in managing multiple tasks and prioritising effectively. * A proactive approach to problem-solving and risk awareness. Additional information: * Location: Preston * Working hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays * Pay rate: £12.86 per hour, increasing to £13.25 after 12 weeks * Successful candidates will undergo comprehensive background checks, including DBS, employment, education, and address verification, along with references.
