Job Description

New Line Learning Academy is seeking a committed and compassionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join Orchard House, our brand-new specialist Key Stage 3 emotional wellbeing and reintegration provision supporting students experiencing Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA), anxiety and emotionally based attendance barriers. Orchard House provides a calm, nurturing and highly personalised environment where students can rebuild confidence, strengthen emotional wellbeing and gradually reintegrate into mainstream education. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with a small group of vulnerable young people and make a genuine difference to their lives.

Job Responsibility

  • Delivering elements of PSHE and Personal Development
  • Supporting students within therapeutic and emotional wellbeing sessions
  • Working alongside teachers in English, Mathematics and Science lessons
  • Mentoring and supporting emotional regulation
  • Helping students rebuild confidence, routines and readiness for learning

Requirements

  • Passionate about inclusion and supporting vulnerable young people
  • Experience working with students experiencing SEMH, anxiety or SEND
  • Ability to build exceptional relationships with young people
  • Calm, nurturing and resilient
