Job Responsibility

  • Provide whole-class cover supervision during teacher absence
  • Plan and lead targeted intervention groups (e.g., literacy, numeracy, SEN)
  • Contribute to lesson planning, resource creation, and student assessment
  • Support students with SEN and work closely with the SENCO
  • Mentor or support other Teaching Assistants where applicable
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour management and safeguarding

Requirements

  • HLTA Status OR a relevant Level 4+ qualification with significant TA experience
  • Proven experience covering classes and leading learning activities independently
  • Strong knowledge of the UK primary curriculum and assessment practices
  • Experience planning and delivering effective intervention programmes
  • Experience supporting students with SEN and implementing EHCPs
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

Nice to have

  • SEN experience
  • HLTA Status (or equivalent Level 4+ qualification)
  • A DBS on the update service
