Job Description:

Responsible for the duties of the histology laboratory. Responsible for accurate routine and stat tissue processing including embedment, microtomy, mounting and staining. Performs routine and special histology including advanced immunocytochemical and histochemical testing. Recognizes procedural, instrument and quality control problems and notifies Lead Histotechnologist. Follows guidelines to correct problems and errors. Prepares reagent, stains and solutions according to guidelines.

Job Responsibility:

  • Performs routine and special histology including advanced immunocytochemical and histochemical testing
  • Recognizes procedural, instrument and quality control problems and notifies Lead Histotechnologist
  • Follows guidelines to correct problems and errors
  • Prepares reagent, stains and solutions according to guidelines

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, HTL, certification within two years of hire
  • One year in Histology Laboratory preferred
