Job Description:

Are you a passionate historian available for an immediate start? We are currently recruiting for an ambitious History Teacher to join a high-performing "All-through" Academy in the Thamesmead area. This is a long-term temporary assignment designed for an educator who can hit the ground running and maintain high academic standards through to the May half-term.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver engaging, well-sequenced History lessons that challenge pupils of all abilities
  • Utilise effective behaviour management strategies in line with the school's structured policy
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to ensure GCSE cohorts remain on track
  • Collaborate with a vibrant Humanities department to share resources and best practice

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Subject Specialism: A degree in History or a closely related field
  • Proven Track Record: Experience teaching the UK National Curriculum at secondary level
  • Availability: Ability to commence the role immediately
