Permanent SEN Teacher : Transition into SEND HumanitiesRole: History & Geography Specialist (KS3/KS4). Are you a talented Humanities teacher feeling burnt out by massive class sizes and rigid data tracking? If you love your subject but want to spend more time actually teaching and less time managing a crowd of 30+, this is your 'Day One' opportunity. We are building a team for a bespoke secondary school designed for students with Autism and unique sensory profiles.

Job Responsibility:

  • deliver high-quality History and Geography lessons, adapting the National Curriculum into something tactile, visual, and accessible
  • play a key role in EHCP reviews, ensuring that a student's love for the world around them is recognised as a core part of their development
  • use non-confrontational, reflective techniques to support students when they feel overwhelmed

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • A genuine interest in specialising in Autism and Social Communication
  • A valid Driving License
  • The resilience to see every challenge as a learning opportunity for your pupils
