Job Responsibility:
Planning and delivering engaging History lessons
Assessing student progress through marking and feedback
Preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations
Contributing to the development of the History curriculum
Managing classroom behaviour effectively and fairly
Participating in departmental meetings and CPD sessions
Engaging with parents during consultation evenings
Creating a safe and stimulating learning environment
Tracking and reporting data to the Head of Department
Promoting a love for History through extra-curriculars
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
Up-to-date knowledge of the National Curriculum
Eligibility to work in the UK
Exceptional storytelling and communication
Ability to differentiate for all learning abilities
High level of emotional intelligence and empathy
