Job Description

The Retail Sales worker provides general customer service and assistance to guests along with interpretative information about each individual shop and its product assortment, as well as processing sales transactions. The Retail Sales Interpreter is responsible for stocking and inventorying products as well as maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of the retail location. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.

Job Responsibility

  • Greets and introduces the guest to the store location as well as providing orientation information regarding the property in its entirety
  • Assists guests in product selection through anticipating their needs and providing product interpretation that creates a desire purchase
  • Ability to initiate guest interaction through game play and demonstrations
  • Shares 18th century history in a fun and immersive way to diverse audiences
  • Ensure product is wrapped or repackaged for presentation in 18th century shop locations, stocked to appropriate levels and replenishes and arranges items as needed to maintain appearance
  • Operates register, handles cash, process credit card transactions, and special orders
  • Responsible for cash handling, safe verifications, and preparing deposits
  • Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, works as part of a team
  • Adheres to cash handling policies and procedures
  • Ensures security of company assets and a safe work environment through daily maintenance and housekeeping
  • Ability to work in multiple stores as well as across multiple store groups

Requirements

  • Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, ability and willingness to learn 18th century daily communication and facts
  • Ability to work outside in various weather conditions and in all seasons regardless of pollen and dust
  • Ability to climb stairs in the course of daily work
  • Ability to work on various surfaces (wooden floors, oyster shells, loose soil, cobble stone, concrete, bricks)
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Previous cash handling experience preferred
  • Basic math and counting skills required
  • Must be able to work independently with limited supervision
  • Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 25 lbs. (some locations pushing carts in excess of 75lbs.)
  • Must be available to work flexible hours including evening, weekends and holidays
