You'll be joining our Highways maintenance team, as the UK's number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. We offer a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes.

Job Responsibility

  • Work as part of a team undertaking highways repairs, ranging from potholes, patching, drainage, footways and general highway maintenance
  • Use technology (tablets/apps) to input safety data and maintenance records
  • Drive operate plant and equipment where trained
  • Take responsibility for vehicles/plant/materials in your charge
  • Provide direction/supervision of the work to less experienced operatives
  • Undertake winter and emergency maintenance out of hours activities on a standby rota

Requirements

  • Clean driving license
  • Commitment to Health and Safety
  • Good communication skills and basic literacy and numeracy
  • LGV Class C driving licence OR demonstrate capability to support investment of LGV Class C training during probationary period
  • CSCS Card
  • Ability to undertake a high level of manual work and work outdoors in all weathers
