Job Responsibility

Carry out general maintenance works, traffic management and other cyclic operations on the highway
Work safely and be responsible for personal safety, the safety of the whole gang, and that of others who come into contact with our works
Carry out all required checks of plant, equipment and vehicles including completion of associated reports
Undertake works as instructed without direct supervision ensuring they are completed to specification and programme
Accurately complete daily record sheets and submit them at the end of each day
Respond to out of office hours emergencies in accordance with roster and within required timescales if required
Participate in Winter Maintenance standby
Undergo all necessary training to ensure you are competent to undertake the tasks assigned to you
Follow company procedures at all times
Actively foster a positive employee morale

Do you have a clean driving License
A commitment to Health and Safety
Good communication skills and basic literacy and numeracy
LGV Class C driving licence OR demonstrate capability to support investment of LGV Class C training during probationary period
Do you have a CSCS Card?
Ability to undertake a high level of manual work and work outdoors in all weathers.

Job Responsibility

Work as part of a team undertaking highways repairs, ranging from potholes, patching, drainage, footways and general highway maintenance
Use technology (tablets/apps) to input safety data and maintenance records
Drive operate plant and equipment where trained, necessary for the day to day tasks set
Take responsibility for vehicles/plant/materials in your charge
Where appropriate provide direction/supervision of the work to less experienced operatives
Undertake winter and emergency maintenance out of hours activities on a standby rota.
