
Under the direction of the Director of Public Works, prepares budgets for the Highway and Motor Equipment Section, preliminary approval of all divisional purchasing, interfaces with Engineering Division with respect to all changes and improvements to the existing and new drainage systems and roadways in town, familiarity with and responsible for writing contracts and bid documents, responsible and capable of planning and organizing snow removal and salt/sand operations, responsible for keeping roads safe during icy conditions, knowledge and ability to execute environmental permits, must have good written and verbal communication skills and human relations skills, responsible for all motor equipment repairs, supervises all personnel assigned to the Highway division including Motor Equipment Section, and performs all other duties as required
B.S. in civil engineering preferred
