Job Description:

Are you a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for flexible, rewarding work in local schools? Join our supply team and make a real difference while maintaining the freedom to choose when and where you work. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and wants to gain experience across different year groups, settings, or school environments.

Job Responsibility:

  • Leading whole-class learning in the absence of the class teacher
  • Delivering pre-planned lessons and supporting interventions
  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis
  • Assisting with planning and assessment, where required
  • Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a safe, positive learning environment
  • Collaborating with teachers and other staff to support pupil progress
  • Promoting the school’s safeguarding policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • HLTA status or equivalent Level 4 qualification
  • Proven experience in a school setting (ideally across a range of age groups)
  • Confidence in leading whole-class teaching
  • A flexible, proactive, and reliable approach
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
