Job Description

Justteachers is currently recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work at a welcoming primary school in Beswick, Manchester to start after May half term. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support across various year groups, assisting teachers in the delivery of lessons, supporting small groups, and working with children on a 1:1 basis to help them achieve their full potential.

Job Responsibility

  • Support class teachers in planning and delivering lessons across different year groups
  • Lead small group sessions and provide tailored 1:1 support for students
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of educational resources and materials
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
  • Support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Contribute to the development of individual learning plans
  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers to ensure student progress

Requirements

  • A Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience as an HLTA within a primary school setting
  • Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and teaching strategies
  • A passion for supporting children and helping them achieve their potential
  • Experience with SEND support is desirable
  • Two educational based references or similar settings
  • DBS or willingness to attain one
