Higher Level Teaching Assistant

• Lead 1:1 sessions and small group interventions to help students hit their academic and personal milestones
• Assist with lesson planning and take the lead in delivering engaging activities aligned with the national curriculum
• Pivot and adapt teaching methods on the fly to meet the diverse individual needs and abilities of our learners
• Help record, analyze, and-most importantly-celebrate the 'lightbulb moments' and progress of our students
• Foster independence, emotional resilience, and communication skills within a safe, nurturing environment
• Work hand-in-hand with families and specialists to ensure a wrap-around approach to every student's education

• HLTA or TA qualification is preferred, though we value strong, hands-on experience in a SEND setting just as highly
• A solid understanding of Special Educational Needs and a passion for inclusive education
• The ability to connect with children and young people, building the trust necessary for them to flourish
• A calm, patient, and resilient attitude even in high-pressure situations
• Experience with autism and complex needs, or knowledge of trauma-informed and therapeutic educational approaches
• BEd
