Job Description:

We are looking for energetic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistants to support our students in achieving growth academically and emotionally. Northcroft School offers a unique learning environment that combines the friendly, personal atmosphere of a small village school with the nurturing qualities of a home. Simultaneously, it provides specialised professional support. Our school fosters a caring and supportive atmosphere for students from year 7 to year 11. We prioritise quality over quantity, enhancing the overall educational experience for children.

Job Responsibility:

Support the Teaching Assistants within the school by running a half termly supervision group
Demonstrate an informed and efficient approach to teaching and learning by adopting relevant strategies to support the work of the teacher and increase achievement of all pupils including, where appropriate, those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
To cover and lead class teaching, when needed
Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the school’s policies, practices, and procedures, so as to support the school’s values and vision
Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people and follow school policies and the staff code of conduct

Requirements:

Experience with complex young people
Qualified up to a Level 3 OR Level 5
