Exceptional HLTA Opportunity in Cambridge! Are you a passionate and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people with autism? Randstad Education is partnering with an outstanding independent specialist school near Cambridge to find an exceptional HLTA for a July or September 2025 start.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work with students aged 5-19 who have high-functioning autism
  • Provide crucial support to teachers across the primary or secondary age range
  • Assist with classroom activities
  • Prepare resources
  • Contribute to annual reviews and reports

Requirements:

  • HLTA Qualification (or a willingness to work towards obtaining one)
  • GCSE Grade C or equivalent in Maths and English
  • Knowledge and experience working with autistic students and applying effective teaching strategies
  • Adaptability, resilience, and the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • A passion for supporting young people and helping them reach their full potential
