We are on the outlook for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join an inclusive and vibrant SEN school in Liverpool.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan and deliver pre-prepared lessons and learning activities to whole classes or small groups in the absence of the teacher
  • Provide targeted 1:1 and small group interventions for students with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs)
  • Implement positive behaviour strategies and foster a calm, safe, and stimulating learning environment
  • Work closely with the SENCO and Class Teachers to adapt the curriculum for students with diverse learning requirements
  • Assess and record pupil progress, providing vital feedback to staff and parents during review meetings

Requirements:

  • HLTA Status (preferred) or a Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • A Level 3 Diploma with significant experience will also be considered
  • Proven experience working within an SEN setting (special school or resource provision)
  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to get one
