Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated, creative and enthusiastic individual to undertake the role of Higher Learning Teaching Assistant within our very small, independent alternative provision. The hours are be 8.00 am – 4.00 pm with one additional hour per week for meetings. This is a term-time only position, plus Inset days.

Requirements:

  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
  • Experience working with young people with additional needs
  • Ability to develop positive relationships so children feel safe and nurtured
  • Ability to demonstrate high levels of emotional wellbeing, remaining calm in the face of any challenges
  • Be a team player with excellent communication skills
  • Be flexible and ready for the challenge of working in a growing school
  • Be energetic, creative and committed to making a difference
  • Be a flexible individual who will work well as part of an innovative team
  • Enhanced/Standard DBS check
