Job Description

For our client, an international leader in the energy technology sector, we are looking for a skilled and driven R&D Test and Process Engineer with a specialized focus on high voltage (HV) testing and manufacturing process development. Based at their production and research site in Zurich, you will play a critical role in bridging R&D and manufacturing, ensuring the performance, safety, and compliance of next-generation energy systems.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and execute HV testing activities in strict compliance with IEC, IEEE, and internal quality standards
  • Design sophisticated test setups, including the selection of appropriate HV equipment and specialized methodologies
  • Analyze complex test data, document technical results, and lead root cause investigations to implement corrective actions
  • Partner with R&D and manufacturing teams to define comprehensive test strategies and manufacturing process requirements
  • Proactively drive continuous improvement within testing and prototyping workflows to enhance overall efficiency and product quality
  • Ensure the rigorous maintenance, calibration, and safe operation of all high voltage test equipment
  • Facilitate prototyping activities and assess process feasibility within a large-scale manufacturing environment
  • Promote a world-class safety culture, ensuring total adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and internal corporate policies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in high voltage testing
  • additional experience in process engineering is highly advantageous
  • Deep knowledge of HV testing protocols, equipment, and safety practices
  • Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, ISO 9001, and ISO 45001 standards
  • Proficient in data analysis, failure mode identification, and technical problem-solving
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex test results into actionable manufacturing insights
  • Fluency in German and a good command of English (both written and spoken) are essential
