Hands‑on HV work supporting critical infrastructure at a large‑scale open‑cut mine. Lifestyle roster (5/4/4/5) enabling a residential life in the Mudgee region. Safety‑critical role where your expertise keeps production and infrastructure running reliably. We are seeking an experienced High Voltage (HV) Electrician to join the maintenance team at our Wilpinjong open‑cut mine, located 48 kilometres northeast of Mudgee producing a high-quality thermal coal for export and domestic markets. This is a hands‑on role supporting critical HV infrastructure across a large‑scale mining operation with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and performance. Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and fault‑finding of high‑voltage and low‑voltage electrical systems across site. You’ll play a key role in ensuring production equipment and infrastructure operate safely and reliably.

Job Responsibility:

  • Maintenance, inspection, and repair of HV electrical systems and infrastructure
  • HV switching, isolations, and permit compliance
  • Fault finding and breakdown response across HV and LV systems
  • Planned maintenance, shutdown support, and reliability improvement work
  • Maintaining compliance with site procedures, legislation, and safety standards
  • Working closely with operations and maintenance teams to maintain KPI’s availability & reliability

Requirements:

  • Trade‑qualified Electrician with HV switching authorisation
  • Previous experience in an open‑cut mining or heavy industrial environment with fixed & mobile plant
  • Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic capability
  • Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to hazard identification
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high‑pressure environment
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Valid driver’s licence
