Job Description

As an High Voltage Electrical Supervisor, you will play a crucial part in all electrical aspects of building and maintaining our 42-mile Dune Express conveyor system. The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for adhering to all OSHA and MSHA standards while performing all job duties.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead your team in safety complying with OSHA, MSHA, and Atlas policies and procedures.
  • Work with outside Engineering firms to design new electrical equipment.
  • Travel to various vendor locations and for audits and meetings. This will be more so during the design and construction phase.
  • Review, understand, redline, and update electrical schematics, drawings, one lines, e-houses layouts, etc..
  • Lead a team of field electricians on day-to-day task such as inspections, PMs, trouble shooting, reporting, etc..
  • Review and approve time sheets, vacation request, POs and invoices.
  • Attend training and certification courses required by the company.
  • Developing, maintaining, and reporting on budgets both for OPEX and CAPEX
  • Engaging with third party vendors for quotes and lead times
  • Comply with OSHA and MSHA standards and annual testing on electrical equipment.
  • In conjunction with senior supervision, may plan, staff, and organize field/shop positions.
  • Interacts with project management, engineering, estimating, and planning to ensure work complies with contract requirements, drawings, specifications, and schedule.
  • Responsible for resolving direct report’s issues (lack of productivity, safety, quality, work interfaces, rework etc.) as required.
  • Assist in obtaining personnel through Human Resources/Recruiting or network (as necessary).
  • Assess work completion. Create punch lists.
  • Advise senior level supervision of potential problems, work interference, schedule difficulties, etc. Assist in circumventing/resolving such problems as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Journeyman Electrical License with minimum 5 years industrial experience
  • Minimum 5 years field leadership in industrial electrical
