Job Description:

The High Voltage Jointer/Fitter will install, maintain, and repair high voltage cables up to 33kV and associated electrical infrastructure.

Job Responsibility:

Install, joint and terminate high voltage cables up to 33kV
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HV cable, switchgear, transformers and associated electrical components
Diagnose faults and carry out necessary corrective actions to restore system integrity
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, standards, and best practices in HV installations
Collaborate with engineers, technicians, customers and project teams to ensure seamless operations
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of work completed
Work in various environments, including substations and underground cable networks
Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies

Requirements:

NVQ Level 3 in Power Supply and Distribution Cabling or similar qualification within Electrical or High Voltage Jointing/Fitting
Valid JIB CSCS Card
Certification in HV jointing from a recognized authority such as a DNO, ICP or Industry Body
Valid Electrical Trade License
