Job Description:

The High Voltage Jointer/Fitter will install, maintain, and repair high voltage cables up to 33kV and associated electrical infrastructure.

Job Responsibility:

  • Install, joint and terminate high voltage cables up to 33kV
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HV cable, switchgear, transformers and associated electrical components
  • Diagnose faults and carry out necessary corrective actions to restore system integrity
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, standards, and best practices in HV installations
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, customers and project teams to ensure seamless operations
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of work completed
  • Work in various environments, including substations and underground cable networks
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Power Supply and Distribution Cabling or similar qualification within Electrical or High Voltage Jointing/Fitting
  • Valid JIB CSCS Card
  • Certification in HV jointing from a recognized authority such as a DNO, ICP or Industry Body
  • Valid Electrical Trade License
