Job Responsibility:

  • Contributes to the acceleration of our striving readers
  • Works extensively with students to help improve specific reading skills
  • Consults frequently with classroom teachers to design and plan interventions
  • Conducts assessments to identify students eligible for intervention services
  • Diagnoses reading strengths and weaknesses and matches these skills with appropriate techniques and materials in order promote interest in reading

Requirements:

  • Arizona Secondary 6-12 Certificate
  • Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization

Nice to have:

  • Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
  • Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement
