BSA Amarillo Surgical Group & Harrington Cancer Center in Amarillo, TX, is searching for a full-time High Risk Breast Cancer Nurse Practitioner to join its premier surgical team and cancer center. A High-Risk Breast Clinic ARNP is an advanced registered nurse practitioner who provides evaluation and medical management of high-risk breast oncology patients at Harrington Breast Center/Harrington Cancer Center/BSA Health Systems/Amarillo Surgical Group. BSA Amarillo Surgical Group and Harrington Cancer Center provide a unique, team approach to comprehensive treatment, with treatments including surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, and hematology. On-site services such as the laboratory, pharmacy and diagnostic services allow patients to receive all cancer services in one convenient location.
Job Responsibility:
Collaborate with breast surgeons, radiologists, genetic counselors, medical oncologists, primary care providers, nurse navigators, and other disciplines to deliver comprehensive, coordinated care
Conduct comprehensive patient histories and assessments using validated breast cancer risk screening models
Evaluate and manage patients with benign and malignant breast conditions, including the development of treatment plans, long-term surveillance, and survivorship care
Provide patient and caregiver education, counseling, and evidence-based imaging surveillance recommendations for high-risk patients
Coordinate diagnostic imaging, procedures, and follow-up care to ensure timely and effective treatment
Perform complex, program-focused histories and physicals and procedures in accordance with licensure, credentialing, and scope of practice
Participate in tumor conferences, committees, and interdisciplinary consultations to support continuity and quality of care
Communicate effectively with attending, primary, and referring physicians and other members of the care team
Participate in program development, process improvement initiatives, and data tracking to support ongoing program evaluation and refinement
Requirements:
Prior experience in Surgical, Oncology, or Women’s Services preferred
