Job Description

As the High Performance Polymers Product Manager West Europe, Middle East & Africa you'll implement your area & country specific product management strategies aligned with global & regional business strategy. Actively develop, manage, and promote the product portfolio with the sales team to provide complete solutions for customers. Steer and drive pipeline and lead regular performance review meetings with principals. Monitor overall performance of OPP within their product scope and act with constant improvement tasks. Provide best-in-class service for our customers & principals.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage and implement product launches with the sales & supply chain teams
  • Drive & implement the divisional portfolio strategy defined by global & regional management, in the area / country of responsibility
  • Actively visit and interact with Principals and their Peers within the scope of products
  • Identify and assess new principals/products and assist with regional opportunities, while maintaining and developing the divisional portfolio
  • Provide support & work closely with the sales teams to implement a defined pricing strategy, monitor business performance, and optimize margins
  • Negotiating prices, terms and condition
  • Develop & execute a comprehensive sales and marketing plan
  • Growing a sustainable and profitable business
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain all information needed organize product training for customers & sales teams with principals
  • Ensure the right certificates & documentation (TDS, SDS, etc.) are available and accessible
  • Monitor market & competitor activity
  • Carry out day-to-day business, driving strategic and operational procurement, communication with principals, conduct regular meetings / reviews with principals, negotiate purchase prices and terms, align and implement principal business strategy, reporting and rolling forecasting
  • Monitor and review inventory on a frequent basis, identify and act on slow / nonmoving stock
  • Define minimum and target stock levels in coordination with the supply chain management function
  • Provide price guidance to Sales teams and purchase guidance to supply chain teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Polymer Science or related areas
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a B2B environment
  • Experience and Knowledge in the Polymer industry mandatory
  • Skilled in negotiation, customer service, and intercultural communication
  • Project management expertise with a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach

  • Additional education is advantageous
  • Prior experience working in a matrix organization is a plus
