Job Description:

High Performance Computer Linux System Administrator role providing technology consulting to external customers and internal project teams. Responsible for technical support and leadership in creating technology solutions to meet customer business needs. Maintains knowledge of leading edge technologies and acts as trusted advisor to customers.

Job Responsibility:

Monitoring and maintaining system health on HPC systems
Reviewing and resolving client tickets
Creating and closing support cases
Maintaining availability reports for SLAs
Planning and completing monthly patch upgrades and kernel upgrades
Maintaining system security posture
Assisting with application installations
Troubleshooting and repairing hardware issues
Tracking hardware repairs and part cases
Maintaining on-call schedule
Assisting with hardware and system installation activities

Requirements:

Top Secret Clearance (TS/SCI preferred)
CompTIA Security+ certification
CompTIA Linux+ certification
5+ years of Linux System Administration Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (or 8+ years total experience without degree)
On-site availability 5 days per week
Willingness for on-call/weekend work
HPC system administration experience
System health monitoring and maintenance skills
Hardware troubleshooting and repair skills
Patch and kernel upgrade experience
System security maintenance
