Job Description:

High Performance Compute Linux System Administrator role providing technology consulting to external customers and internal project teams. Responsible for technical support and leadership in creating technology solutions to meet customer business needs. Maintains knowledge of leading edge technologies and acts as trusted advisor to customers.

Job Responsibility:

Monitoring and maintaining system health on HPC systems
Reviewing and resolving client tickets
Creating and closing support cases
Maintaining availability reports for SLA tracking
Planning and completing monthly patch upgrades and kernel upgrades
Maintaining system security posture
Assisting with application installations
Troubleshooting and repairing hardware issues
Tracking hardware repairs and part returns
Maintaining on-call schedule
Assisting with hardware and system installation

Requirements:

Top Secret Clearance, TS/SCI preferred
Security+ certification
Linux+ certification
5+ years of Linux System Administration Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related area (or 8+ years total experience without degree)
On-site availability 5 days a week
Ability to work on-call/weekend work
HPC system administration experience
Troubleshooting and hardware repair skills
System security maintenance
Patch and kernel upgrade experience

Nice to have:

TS/SCI clearance
HPC architectural knowledge
Cross-functional teamwork
Customer relationship management
Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) experience
