Job Responsibility

  • Assembling large and complex cooling systems based on detailed work order instructions and 3D computer models
  • locating and retrieving parts
  • assembling units
  • ensuring quality standards are met
  • transporting units to packaging area using motorized overhead cranes or forklifts
  • assisting in loading units into flatbed trucks for shipping
  • reading and understanding work instructions and blueprints
  • opening, manipulating, and understanding 3D computer models
  • inspecting quality of coolers, steel parts, fans, drive components
  • using corrective tools to make repairs and adjustments
  • locating and retrieving parts required for assembly
  • moving cooling packages between work areas using motorized cranes
  • verifying assembly according to AKG and industry standards
  • meeting production quotas
  • maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • developing and maintaining knowledge of parts used in assembly of High Horsepower Units
  • reporting issues to supervisor or appropriate personnel
  • adhering to all policies, procedures, and EMS requirements
  • regular physical attendance required

Requirements

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is required
  • prior experience in final assembly is preferred
  • strong mechanical aptitude
  • availability to work the agreed-upon shift
  • ability to use basic computer programs, including manipulating and interpreting 3D computer models
  • ability to read and understand detailed blueprint instructions
  • basic math skills and ability to use measuring tools
  • excellent attention to detail
