C&G or NVQ3 Vehicle Technician qualification
Electrical and Mechanical skills and experience
Good understanding of H&S issues in a workshop environment
Clean Driving Licence – HGV would be an advantage

Job Responsibility

Supervise the shift technicians and co-ordinate workload
Liaise with the Van Centre Manager regarding shift staff, training needs, KPI’s etc
Diagnosis and repair of vehicles
Servicing of vehicles to a high standard
Participation in call out and breakdown rota – if/when required
Ability to use diagnostic equipment
Carry out scheduled safety inspections and report any rectifications required
Complete job cards clearly and accurately

Requirements

Technically competent in the repair and maintenance of HGVs with excellent diagnostic skills
Proven Level 3 Technical qualifications
Stand In or Supervisory experience – workshop related
Comply with warranty procedures during repairs and with warranty material on completion of a repair
Work with the parts team to ensure the correct replacement parts are fitted to the vehicles
Full and valid UK Class 1/2 HGV Driving Licence – desirable

Job Responsibility

Running a nightshift, including administration duties
Undertaking service and repair work efficiently and competently to the required level of quality and within the standard time allocated
Comply with warranty procedures during repairs and with warranty material on completion of a repair
Work with the parts team to ensure the correct replacement parts are fitted to the vehicles
