CALLING ALL HGV TECHNICIANS! Our client, a long-established and continually growing company, currently has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician / Commercial Vehicle Mechanic to join their team at their Portadown depot. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of the UK's largest Truck Dealer Network, working on award-winning vehicles while receiving ongoing manufacturer and industry training to further strengthen your career.

Job Responsibility

  • Carrying out Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMI) on trucks and trailers
  • Diagnosing electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical faults using manufacturer-level diagnostic equipment
  • Repairing and maintaining engines, gearboxes, braking systems (ABS/EBS), lighting systems, and more
  • Preparing vehicles for annual MOT testing
  • Attending roadside breakdowns and carrying out running repairs where required
  • Completing job cards, maintenance records, and safety documentation accurately
  • Maintaining high standards of workshop health and safety

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an HGV Technician / Commercial Vehicle Mechanic
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills
  • Knowledge of truck and trailer maintenance
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Relevant mechanical qualifications preferred
