Job Description:

DoorCo in Macclesfield is growing and we are currently seeking an additional HGV/Van driver to join our busy Transport team. The position will suit someone who enjoys a variety of work within transport and driving. This role will cover holidays and other absences in both 26T HGVs and our 3.5T curtain sided vans. When no one is absent you will work with other driver colleagues to complete runs jointly. Working nationally, the role offers significant opportunity for development. We are looking for someone who is hard working, flexible and enjoys working closely with customers. Our induction and in-house training will support your transition to a new industry with lots of potential. A day in the life of a DoorCo Delivery Driver will include working in a fast-paced family-owned company, facilitating the delivery of manufactured doors to trade customers, with customer service at the heart of our business.

Job Responsibility:

cover holidays and other absences in both 26T HGVs and 3.5T curtain sided vans
work with other driver colleagues to complete runs jointly
working nationally
be the face of the business, interacting with customers daily
be responsible for products for delivery being safe and secure, including completion of all relevant paperwork
work on own initiative
work flexibly to achieve customer runs
operate compliantly, ensuring best practice is always observed and operate within DoorCo’s values

Requirements:

valid driving license with no more than 3 penalty points
experience of driving delivery vehicles
strong work ethic
excellent customer communication skills
Category C Licence required
Driver Qualification (CPC) Card required
