Job Description:

Parker Building Supplies is a well-established independent builder's merchant, proudly serving the South East since 1984. Known for quality products and great customer service, we are part of the Independent Builders Merchant Group (IBMG) — the largest independent merchant group in the South of England. We’re expanding our team at our Crowborough branch and are looking for a reliable HGV Driver / Yard Operative to support deliveries and yard operations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Delivering building materials safely and efficiently to customers
  • Operating HGV vehicles in line with road and safety regulations
  • Loading and unloading vehicles (HIAB use where applicable)
  • Supporting yard operations when not out on deliveries
  • Providing friendly, professional service to trade and retail customers
  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks and maintaining compliance

Requirements:

  • Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
  • Valid CPC & Tachograph Card
  • HIAB licence (desirable)
  • Forklift licence (desirable)
  • Previous driving and/or yard experience
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and adaptable team player

Nice to have:

  • HIAB licence
  • Forklift licence
