Job Description:

Our client based in Abingdon is looking for a Permanent HGV Class 2 driver to join their team assisting customers with the safe transit of their goods to personal locations and businessess. Hours of work are generally from 7am each morning depending on work required for the day.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist customers with safe transit of goods to personal locations and businesses
  • Work with team of drivers and porters
  • Deal with customers face to face and over telephone
  • Ensure heavy items are lifted correctly and safely
  • Safe manual handling of goods on and off vehicle
  • Work on nights away and sometimes abroad depending on move destination

Requirements:

  • Full Class 2 licence with no more than 6 points
  • Minimum of 6 months experience
  • Digital Tachograph card
  • CPC qualification
  • Self-motivated team player
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to complete lifting of heavy materials
