Brook Street Recruitment is working with our client in Mallusk to hire a full time and permanent Class 2 HGV Driver. Reporting to the Transport Supervisor.
Job Responsibility:
Delivery of goods on the most time and cost-effective routes
Care and maintenance of your vehicle including arranging services
Responsibility for checking the stability and safety of all loads
Complying with all applicable health and safety regulations
Responsibility for the cleanliness of your vehicle, and the image, helpfulness and courtesy presented to customers
Filling in of weekly vehicle inspections sheets
Ensure all goods loaded for delivery have a docket for signing
Acquire a signature on respective dockets for goods delivered and return for filing
Preparing your vehicle for Loading and Unloading
Help load your own vehicle if shift time allows
Ensure correct use of Tachograph and stay within legal time limits
Assisting with other tasks as required
Drive all over Ulster and down to Dublin twice a week (once a week on rotation)
Carry out other duties and projects as directed by the Manager
Requirements:
HGV Class 2 driving qualification
Ability to deliver goods on time and cost-effective routes
Responsibility for vehicle care, maintenance, and arranging services
Responsibility for checking stability and safety of loads
Complying with all applicable health and safety regulations
Responsibility for vehicle cleanliness and presenting a good company image
Filling in weekly vehicle inspection sheets
Ensuring all goods have a docket and acquiring signatures for deliveries
Preparing vehicle for loading and unloading
Ability to help load vehicle (counter balance forklift required)
Ensure correct use of Tachograph and stay within legal time limits
Willingness to drive all over Ulster and to Dublin twice a week (once a week on rotation)
Willingness to carry out other duties as directed by Manager
