Job Description:

As a Class 1 HGV Driver you will help to deliver our Company's vision being 'The Galvanizer of choice' through being an integral part of a fleet that delivers our high-quality products to our customers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Putting safety first – ensuring full compliance with all statutory requirements and driving legislation, including company procedures, tachograph monitoring, driving, and road regulations
  • collecting and delivering steelwork
  • maintaining good working relationships with customers
  • completing accurate delivery records and relevant paperwork
  • responsible for carrying out vehicle inspections

Requirements:

  • Hold a full and Cat C+E clean licence
  • possess a digital tachograph card and full driver CPC
  • have a minimum of 1 year's HGV driving experience
  • demonstrate excellent customer service in your approach to work
  • be able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative
  • have good geographical area knowledge

  • Maintain communication with the transport office with regard to delays
  • Collecting livestock from several farms as set out by the daily catching plan and deliver safely to the Brackley site
  • Ensuring security of the load prior to transportation and checking bird welfare at all times
  • Delivering finished, refrigerated goods nationwide
  • Correctly completing all necessary paperwork associated with the work you have undertaken correctly (weighbridge slips, poultry transport certificates etc)
  • Maintaining good communication with the transport office with regards to issues or delays
