Job Description

We are currently seeking a reliable and flexible HGV Class 1 Driver who is also happy to undertake Class 2 driving when required. This role involves delivering products for a busy meat processing plant, ensuring goods are transported safely, efficiently, and in line with all compliance standards.

Job Responsibility

Carry out deliveries and collections in a timely and professional manner
Operate both Class 1 (C+E) and Class 2 (Category C) vehicles as required
Load and unload vehicles, including handling chilled meat products
Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and paperwork is correctly filled out
Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in line with food industry regulations
Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly
Adhere to all driving laws, tachograph regulations, and health & safety procedures
Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients and site staff

Requirements

Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
Willingness to drive Class 2 vehicles when needed
Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
Previous experience in a similar driving role preferred
Comfortable working with meat products and within a food production environment
Good level of physical fitness (manual handling involved)
Strong work ethic and reliable attitude
Good communication and time management skills
