We are currently recruiting for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join a well-established logistics operation based in Birmingham. This is a great opportunity for professional drivers seeking ongoing night work with a competitive hourly rate and weekly pay. Shift Details: Nights (Trunking work) Sunday / Monday morning starts 00:30 start times 12-hour shifts Ongoing weekly work Must have 2 years' Class 1 experience

Requirements:

  • Valid HGV Class 1 licence
  • CPC qualification
  • Digital tachograph card
  • Minimum 2 years' Class 1 experience required

  • Update work record by completing manual entries when entering digital card into a digital tachograph
  • Correctly complete a pre-op check of the vehicle and report any defects using the agreed procedure
  • Ensure security of the load and good welfare of the birds at all times
  • Maintain communication with the transport office with regard to delays
  • Collecting livestock from several farms as set out by the daily catching plan and deliver safely to the Brackley site
  • Ensuring security of the load prior to transportation and checking bird welfare at all times
  • Delivering finished, refrigerated goods nationwide
  • Correctly completing all necessary paperwork associated with the work you have undertaken correctly (weighbridge slips, poultry transport certificates etc)
  • Maintaining good communication with the transport office with regards to issues or delays
