Job Responsibility:

  • Providing direct patient care to inpatients in need of hemodialysis
  • Supervising care and treatments, conducting patient assessments, creating personalized care plans, and addressing patient concerns
  • Building rewarding relationships with patients by understanding their physical, mental, and emotional needs to aid in their recovery
  • Educating nursing staff on the care of the hemodialysis patient, hemodialysis equipment, and hemodialysis standards of care

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensures as required by state regulations
  • CPR certification
  • ACLS within 1 year of hire
  • 6 months dialysis nursing experience required

Nice to have:

  • CRRN certification preferred
  • 1 year of experience in inpatient hospital setting preferred

  • Contacts patients (timeliness is essential) at end of clinic visit to review plan of care and make any necessary adjustments in anti-rejection medications
  • Assists hospital nursing staff in the post-operative care of the kidney transplant.regarding the patients through care coordination and oversight
  • Assists in the coordination of patient care and the monitoring of nursing care of the kidney transplant recipient through active involvement in treatment planning
